Personal brand websites that set you apart from your competitors & act as the ultimate hub to showcase your unique skills

I design beautiful, professional websites for modern business people, start-ups and solo entrepreneurs who need a platform to support their personal & commercial goals.

Three reasons you need a personal brand website

Increase client trust

A great website takes your professionalism to the next level - and having one means people aren’t trying to piece together your brand from various LinkedIn profiles or an out-of-date Facebook page. A website acts as your showcase hub to highlight what you do, sell services and capture new clients - all using your unique, professional voice and brand.

Generate additional income & opportunities

Whether you’re speaking at an upcoming event or looking for new projects, your website should be your ultimate marketing hub for promoting what you’re doing (and canvassing for further connections).

More importantly, a website offers the opportunity to sell your services or products and take payments online.

Stand out from competitors

Think of it this way. When a potential client is deciding between you and a competitor, will they go for the one with the impressive website that showcases their skills - or the one with no website and no findable contact details? You’ve got to be in it to win it.

Do any of these sound like you?

⟡ You have a website but you feel embarrassed about how it looks to potential clients

⟡ It’s been so long since you updated your site, it doesn’t really reflect your current professional persona - and you don’t know where to even begin fixing that

⟡ You’ve developed a well-respected personal brand but much of your work comes through word-of-mouth, and you need to start attracting more clients from further afield

⟡ You need to generate additional income away from your 9-5, and you’re ready to formalise your ‘side hustle’ and make it real

If you’ve answered yes, then you’re ready for a beautiful, professional website that fully encapsulates you and your personal brand.

How I build websites

1

Understand your brand

I begin with a consultation and research call where I get all the information I need about your brand to begin crafting your website.

I’m curious about what makes you unique - this is ‘the good stuff’ when putting together your site. I need to know what you want clients to do and find on your site, along with your personal preferences on style and aesthetics.

2

Structure, design & build

I produce a sitemap (i.e. the blueprint of your website). This is the start of your UX (User Experience) and it’s crafted to make sure visitors take the journey we want them to make.

At this stage, I’ll design the first page of your site for you to review, live on the website. This means you can sign off on the styling, layouts, typography and visuals. Once you’re happy, I’ll go ahead and begin building the rest of the site.

3

Review & launch

You review the finished site, and I make any amends required - then we go for launch.

A final testing phase ensures all contact forms, social links, product payment systems and interactive elements are rock solid before going live.

We’ll finish up with a training session where I’ll show you how to update your site yourself, and you’ll become confident in navigating the system.

FAQs

  • The website builder I use, Squarespace, charges per month or per year to host your website on their platform. For a personal brand website, the usual cost would be £144 per year - but as a Squarespace Circle member, I'm able to offer clients a 20% discount, so the yearly total is £115.20. Prices correct at time of writing.

You’ll pay this direct to Squarespace when launching your website. All prices accurate at the time of writing. You can view Squarespace’s pricing here.

If you need a new domain, you’ll need to buy this through Squarespace or a third party vendor like GoDaddy, so make sure to factor this cost in too. Note that if you pay for your hosting with Squarespace annually, you get a free custom domain included.

  • I’ll need your content to fill all your pages. This is often the trickiest part of getting a website together, but it means I can fill every page with your text and images in one fell swoop.

You can bypass this by opting for my Bespoke Content add-on for an additional fee - I’ll write the content and populate all 10 of your website pages.

I’ll also need links to your social media profiles, so I can link to them from your site, and your domain info.

  • Of course. We can use your original website as a starting point for content, if you'd like, or we can start from scratch.

  • Absolutely. Just give me your logo, palettes and fonts and I'll ensure your website is a clear contination of your established brand identity. If you don't have any branding, that's no problem - we can work together to find a palette and style that suits your goals.

  • All my sites are given a base level of optimisation, which means each page has a well-constructed page title and meta description, and 5 key images on each page will have alt text added. If your provided copy doesn’t include an optimised H1 page heading, I’ll tweak it so that it does (with your agreement). We’ll agree on some of your most important keywords and SEO terms during the consultation, which is what I’ll use for the SEO.

For a deeper SEO service or content overhaul, please get in touch for a chat.

  • We’ll begin with a consultation where I’ll get to know your story, what makes you different, and your innate tone of voice. I’ll use any examples you can provide of existing or preferred copy (we can look at other industry examples, if needed) to help guide how you should sound.

Once a page is built, I’ll fill it with new copy that’s informative, showcases your brand and ‘sounds like you’. Most importantly, it needs to compel your audience to do what you need them to do - whether that’s getting in touch, exploring your past work or something else. I’ll analyse each critical marketing touchpoint to make sure it’s on brand but still engaging and poised to convert.
